Hi folks,
I know: I’m about a month late. This is not an excuse but rather a reason: I’ve been super-subjected to what I now call Hyperlink Hijacking (HH), with ‘Hyperlink’ having both a literal and metaphorical meaning.
I start with the subject of How science has gone off the rails, and next thing I find myself reading a half dozen books (at once, with a dozen more stacked) and listening to scores of podcasts (plus vids) on subjects ranging from (starting from, actually) Electric Universe theory, the Big Bang then – due to various ‘Hyperlinks’ – seguing to the history of cosmology, metaphysics, gnosticism, DNA decoding (the human genome, etc.), geology, various ancient civilization theories, UFOlogy, creation theory, quantum physics (again!)… and on and on… then, having written about… no, precisely 6,866 words of a rough draft essay that rambled all over the place…
Then, having more or less accidently subjected myself to an especially annoying podcast, I found myself writing another Open Letter to Jan Irvin, which I abandoned when I realized how senseless it was…
…then, about a week ago I came across the above startling image… which led to this video:
…of which I did not know what to make (and still don’t, but ‘why didn’t I think of that’ did run through my head)… so I googled my ass off on ‘Neanderthal + (you name it)’, then got mired in Evolution in General (with narrow eyes getting through Dawkins’s The Selfish Gene), finding that of all the ‘sciences,’ the ‘History of Life’ has perhaps been the most misleading (though sometimes subtly so)…
This set me back six weeks in the progress of my ‘How science has come off the rails’ essay (which itself was to be an outline for my Electric Universe talk).
I’m more or less back to square one here, having ‘evolved’ a bit further toward ‘Sadder and wiser’…
I forgot to mention: I have watched every mainstream science (MSS) program/video/documentary (BBC, NOVA, The History Channel, Discovery, etc., etc.) I could find online and have seriously come to the conclusion that there is not one aspect of HTWW that ‘we’ have not been completely misinformed about. I know: I’ve said this before. But some sort of tipping point has been reached…
I’ve really got to find a starting point and I think The History Of Our Species’ is it, via the perspective it should give to everything else. Soooooo….
WEISBECKER’S VERY BRIEF TAKE ON HOW WE GOT HERE
(Text to come…soon!)
Your thoughts on How We Got Here are most welcome (including D. Vendramini’s Neanderthal theory), and may be included in my essay…
