You all know how I feel about Tucker Carlson, but if not: He’s one of the only MS pundits that I take seriously, although he is limited hangout, an entertaining and smart version thereof, but still limited hangout. Worth listening to with the knowledge that he avoids important truths.
I bring this up because of this recent podcast. In it he explains how/why we are on the brink of a nuclear exchange — which could escalate to WW3 — for reasons I hadn’t yet considered. (Yes, for our purposes here I am assuming nukes are real.) Give it a look, but to sum it briefly: According to Tuck, the dems are apparently stupider and/or more reckless than they even seem (holy shit!), and the basis of their dementia goes back to the 2016 election and their insistence that Putin was behind Trump’s victory. Right: Nuts. (In other words, they may actually believe this ridiculous premise, rather than just using it to stir up more division. I actually hadn’t considered this.)

So now Pelosi and others (mainly Adam Schiff) are over in Ukraine, having already said we need to arm Ukraine ‘…so we can fight Russia over there and not here (in the U.S.)’. And they are willing to fight a war to get that.
As I say, this hadn’t occurred to me.

I’ve noticed, among those I’ve met anyway, that a lot of people in the scientific field come across as very naive. I’d venture this is perhaps doubly so for the medical areas of scientific “knowledge” – you have to be a dogma-believer just to get ahead, in many cases. And while I am speaking as a pure novice, I can only note that in my last job – a store of college textbooks – where I got to converse fairly frequently with some geezer professors… well, it seemed more characteristic of those in a highly-propagandized “hard” science (Astronomy) than a soft/pseudo-science like Psychology. I was young enuff to sound naive and searching when I had this conservation, but basically, at about 20-years-old, I point-blank asked this astronomy professor (with name on file at the store) if he really thought we’d been to the moon… “sure, we have all those rocks from the Apollo missions at the university museum…” we’re talking rocks that may originate any place from the North to the South Pole, here. No guarantee it’s the moon (I’m not closed-off to the possibility that some satellite has ACTUALLY landed on the moon, but a manned vehicle noway.) Currently just over 13,000 nuclear warheads are active. So assuming that all works, that all are used at the same time I do not see how they could have an effect overall. There are huge human population in remote places. These 13,000 nuclear warheads are insufficient to be able to destroy these populations and as well as pollute the remaining habitable lands.
