As I say, I’m working on the book. The tentative title is Being There; a body of work. A big, coffee table kind of book, and photo-driven, which is the reason for the main title. ‘Being there’ is from a photographer’s saying, which sums up the essence of the art/craft: ‘F-8 and be there.’
Enlarge this and it looks pretty serious, right? Then why don’t the PTB alarmists use it in their catastrophic prognostications?
So true. The essence of photography is how you live your life.
The ‘a body of work’ part of the title means you cannot judge a photog by one or two or a dozen images; you have to see many more, but only the ones he/she chooses to display. This last part is important and rarely mentioned by the pundits.

‘Climate change’ seems to be in the news again, how severe it is and so forth. We all know, I assume, that this is a crock of shit. I’ve gone over this before but I want to remind you how easy it is to debunk the crapola, and with the government’s own data.
Here’s why they don’t use the actual data. Click on Montauk, NY — my old home and about the average worldwide — and you find that in ONE HUNDRED years, and with 95% confidence, sea level will rise a tad over one foot. Twelve inches. Somewhat less than what the New York Times tells you, isn’t it?
What’s the immediate and most catastrophic measure of this supposed phenom? Right. Sea level rise. What’s amazing to me is that the supposed climate change debunkers — the folks who are the ‘voices of reason’ in the face of the alarmists — never bring up what I am going to show you. (Yes, I am repeating myself but it’s been a while.)
NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association has sea level measuring stations all over the world, which have been in operation for many years, many decades, some over a hundred years. The results are right there online for all to see. Just search for ‘NOAA Sea Level Trends’ and you will be enlightened on the essence of ‘Climate Change.’
A few years ago I actually crunched the numbers, i.e., averaged all the stations worldwide, and found that Montauk is very close to the number I got; it’s about average for the planet’s projected sea level change in the next 100 years. Look at the government’s own image; a little over a foot.
It’s truly amazing since sea level ‘rise’ is the most touted ‘proof’ that we are headed for catastrophe. A transparent lie, as anyone will see if they just look at the actual data.
Why haven’t you heard this elsewhere?

Before my current bolt, I’d been surfing Montauk for over 50 years; I rode my first wave at Ditch Plains, just west of the Point. I recall from my first summer that there is a rock on the inside that was awash at low water. 50 years later it was still awash. Still is, no doubt, in 2022. Mmmm.
The problem is that the rise is accelerating over the last years, so linar extrapolation for 100 years is not a good prediction. If you have choosen to rely on noaa data, check the scenario Tool from their latest report: https://coast.noaa.gov/slr/ For Montauk, it predicts a sea level rise between 2,5ft and 6.6ft for the next 80 years, depending on the scenario.

My observation as well regarding sea level. When looking out to the ocean, just to the right of the Santa Monica pier, there are some rocks protruding above the ocean that I noticed when I moved to L.A. in 1980. They can also be seen in one of the iconic Rocky movies when Stallone is running on the beach. I was just out in L.A. for a funeral. Went to the beach, rocks exactly as they were back in 1980. No change.
But I also have noticed changes to the weather. I’ve been here in Colorado for 30 years. When I first moved here in 1992, the snow in the high country would last till mid to end of August. Now its all melted by the first or second week of June. Mind you, that’s with snow pack of comparable depth to past years. And one only has to look at Lake Mead this summer to see how this serious this drought has been for the West. Doesn’t bode well for the future, does it?
Right, but if it’s man made, it’s a PTB black op.
Your observation about decreased snow cover in Colorado over the last 30 years is in line with the following,

Well, it’s mighty difficult to explain how global “cooling” can explain higher ocean temps, melting ice sheets and glaciers, rising sea levels, and decreased snow cover, evidence cited by the scientific community in support of global warming.
Here is one example. Montana’s Glacier National Park had 37 named glaciers in 1966. Since then, 11 of the glaciers have melted and become non-active, while the remaining 26 have been reduced in size 10-50%. The earth is cooling, huh?
Instead of leveling personal attacks on others, it would be more helpful if you could provide compelling evidence of a long-term cooling trend (not short-term temperature variations) on earth over the last century or so that is coincident with increased industrial pollution (CO2) of its atmosphere.
And by compelling evidence I’m not talking about false climate ideas being spread by charlatans who pose as “experts” on YouTube and other social media platforms.

Among other things, I have been watching my own thermometers (accurate ones) – sitting in EXACTLY the same place in the shade, where I have lived for 25 years. We are down approx. 2 – 3 degrees C today.

Allan, the NOAA drought map shows the SC Lowcountry being in an extended 6+ month drought. Since 6/28, both my remote weather center (18.4″) and a passive ground rain gauge (+/-19″), How The Hell can they say we’re in an extended drought?
It has been relatively dry since January, but still got 2-3″ each month. It’s common to see 2+” of rain in an hour (2.52″ the other night between 1030-1145PM).
So, NOAA lies more than the CIA? Yes, the military owns the weather and has for years.
They have been bluffing and lying about the weather situation & readings for 100+ years.

Now, the military have been saying they will own the weather at about 2025. I think they were lying, and already own it, as they HAARP, Chemtrail, and spray all sorts of crap in our air.
