Photo #17 (Plus a Question)

Would you believe me if I claimed to have shot this one on the fly?

I don’t think you’ve seen this old selfie, from Tobago in the early 1990s. (It’s in a slide show but that doesn’t count.) This worked out lucky. I shot myself with a flash inside the outhouse, left the shutter open and went inside my shack to read for a half hour or so, while the star streaks registered. (The image of me inside was already on the slide film.) It was dark aside from the sky. When I came out I was bummed to see the lens was fogged from mist and assumed the photo was ruined. But no. The flash part of the image was fine and since the yard was pitch dark, the only part that was affected by the foggy lens was the stars, which gave the ‘end of the world’ meteor bombardment look, and this was before I knew how apropos the image would be (including me on the John contemplating it).

The Alex Webb photo-fakery issue has of course died on the vine, and I will most likely not try to revive it, notwithstanding my annoyance. I alerted (with evidence) four major photo-analysts that this famous ‘street shooter’ regularly ‘concocts’ his ‘candids’, including (especially so) the most ‘beloved’ ones, like the one below, which is not the worst (most extreme) example, not at all, but is the most obvious, if you are merely a conscious entity, with eyes open and the thing in front of you.

Seriously, how is it that NOBODY noticed that there’s something amiss here?

I’ll repeat, in case someone comes across this post who hasn’t seen my other evidence: Alex Webb is telling us that he just ‘stumbled across’ this image from the streets of Mexico and made the image on the fly. No theory of why (presumably) a female wearing eye make up is crouched in a box and looking out from the hole, and so forth. (The shadow on her face isn’t right and the box is likely too small to fit a normal-sized human, but never mind those details.) None of the ‘experts’ would reply to this and a half dozen other examples of deceit in Webb’s photos.

Drew claims he shot this from street level two blocks away, which is already preposterous (camera is at same height as subject). Also, there was a 12 foot wide bevel running up the corners of the towers; nowhere did two sides meet as shown here.

Fakery is as old as the technology itself, as is the reluctance to talk about it, especially amongst those who practice the craft, notwithstanding that history itself is so often involved, as in the fabricated shot known world-wide as ‘The Falling Man,’ supposedly shot by Associated Press photographer Richard Drew. (I have written about this but my search feature no longer works with this site so looking for ‘Drew’ here came up empty; the post was a few years ago.) This photo is a fake and was designed to match ‘The Hanged Man’ Tarot card, another occult reference they worked into 9/11.

‘The Hanged Man usually indicates a lack of ability to help oneself through independent action.’  That’s us all right. The PTB love this kinda shit.

But this is old news and who cares, especially given the ever increasing likelihood that a serious if not full-blown nuclear war is in the offing, if not another ‘pandemic’ (how about both?), if not a world-wide economic collapse, if not a fake (or real) ‘war of the worlds’…? and so forth. What am I forgetting? (Work the balloon nonsense into all the above.)

Addendum: Is war with China our ‘best case’ hopeful? I mean don’t we owe them trillions? And if we are at war, can’t we just say we ain’t gonna pay? How does that work? (Hey, Giannini, how does it work when you just don’t feel like paying a debt? What comes after yelling ‘Fuck you!’?)

I guess my point here is that if we (either you and I or the royal ‘we’) can’t alert the experts to fakery in their own beloved artistic obsession (like photography), what hope is there that… and so forth.

On the other hand, is any of this stuff true? Or just some of it?

Allan

Consider my selfie above — end-of-the-world fire from heaven while I’m I’m deep in thought on the pot — a Strangelovian kind of metaphor.

How does a foggy lens make star streaks “dotted”?

Hi Allan, – great outhouse photo, we saw that one a fair while ago (6months ago?)
What was your question?….is it one you already know the answer to?.
You should shake that vine more, and see what falls out 🙂

Was there a question? More a statement that reality isn’t what any of us think it is.

Yes, we are lied to about almost everything, and it is getting worse by the day.
A guy said just today, if we want to see an E.T – look in the mirror. True and correct.
