Slideshow #1

Logan, Gus, and I are on the road, headed for Spearfish, near Deadwood, South Dakota. (I recall Spearfish being mentioned in Deadwood the Series, so we’re covered.) We’re temporarily camped near Sedona, still in Arizona, an interesting and very visually stimulating chunk of the West. We’ll stay a week before heading north. I haven’t yet got into photographing the area, shot just a handful of landscapes; I’ll embed a couple here. I’ll do better before we bolt.

Speaking of bolting, we got very fond of the Alamo Lake environs; we were there about four months and it started to feel like home — a dead giveaway that it was time to leave. I did a lot of photography there and have put together a bit of a slideshow, which I’ll subject you to. I’m just getting the hang of creating these and this one is far from perfect. I’m too lazy to do it over, so here it is:

I’ve dug out my photo-work from back in the day of Kodachrome and (Fuji) Velvia, which, thank god, I had had the foresight to digitalize; I have no idea where the original slides have got to; the bummer is I know a few beauts are lost.

A meteor/fireball on the horizon from last night.

One of the upcoming slide shows will be from my Captain Zero trip. After 20 years a few of you may be thinking ‘it’s about time’, and I agree.
