I assume anyone who hasn’t unsubscribed is now aware of what I meant when I said I was happier not having regular Net access. I just got back online and spent almost an hour manually erasing the troll’s comments, only one or two of which I scanned for content.
I’m referring to the guy as a ‘troll’ because it’s easier, and accurate – see the definition. It appears that the troll is not a mole after all, a ‘mole’ being (by our definition) an employee of the state, his agenda being to deceive and misdirect. A troll is someone with psychological problems and who feels the need to subject others to it.
Since I have not read 95% of the troll’s comments and emails, my main complaint is how he has damaged this blog and annoyed real readers/participants via the volume of his drivel (from what I did read). This of course is partly my fault. Sorry! My mistaken notion that the troll is a mole (has a ring!) is based on my assumption that the person who wrote this (just a reminder)…
Any you want to know why the exposure for a light colored object that is up in the air in direct sunlight, which looks to be the underexposed surface of white rocket, which normally would be glowing, isn’t enough to make sidelit water, apparently approaching dusk, not enough to make the water as bright blue as in the pictures from space where it is hit with full sun.
If you need to know why i didn’t pay attention to the troll’s ‘messages,’ this is how my Inbox looked each time I got online for the past few days. If you were me, would you open any of these? This is the very definition of a ‘troll.’
…could not possibly be a lawyer working for a (real) law firm in Dallas. However, the troll did send me a screenshot of an email that included the above nonsense (in every sense of the word) and signed by someone who claimed to be a lawyer (via the ‘Esq’). I realize that it – plus other ‘evidence,’ most of which I did not view (see image to the right) — could be fraudulent, but I don’t think it is. I don’t believe that a mole would put in the work I have more or less witnessed in a situation like this, and the prose I’ve scanned is unlikely to be via A.I. It just isn’t, IMO. This is human obsession in action. Simple as that.
Since I consider a mole to be of a class of life form very close to the bottom, and since I did accuse the troll of being a mole (just rolls off the tongue!), I do owe him an apology, on top of the ‘Ben’ (which is how we referred to a $100 back in my smuggling days). I’ll need an address: Put it in the subject box, so I don’t have to open the email. (I will Spam you as soon as I get the info.)
What bothers me about this incident is the following: If I could have been this wrong about the troll, how often might I have been wrong in the past, about alt media figures I have ‘outed’ as moles? My misjudgment, or rather the realization of it, came as a shock, and I immediately began to worry that the ‘outed’ names, like the troll, might simply be idiots… no, now wait…. ‘idiot’ is not the correct term here. What we might refer to as ‘intelligence’ is unrelated to the sort of uber-denial Orwell called ‘doublethink’ – and which is at the bottom of this latest fiasco. So I dunno. I try to self-reflect, so as not to be as ‘wrong’ as the troll and his brother (and so many others) are about Spacex, say (the subject matter one can be ‘wrong’ about is endless). But since I was wrong in this case – a ‘troll’ and a ‘mole’ being such different creatures – I will have to re-double my self-reflection efforts.
So we’re done (at least I am).

I expect the troll will continue to barrage this forum with crapola, and since I don’t have solid access to the Net (and will not for some time), there is not much I can do about it that I haven’t done already. This is an off topic warning to any pain, anxiety, or ADD sufferers in marijuana legal states that have Kaiser Permanente. They have decided to implement a policy of drug testing at least once a year (they want their drs to do it 4 times a year) for drugs if you take any federally scheduled drugs (opioids, benzos, amphetamines). They say they are following the cdc guidelines, which suggest testing to make sure patients aren’t supplementing from illicit sources. What they don’t tell you, anywhere, is they test for THC, which the CDC guidelines actually suggest they SHOULD NOT test for. If you are found positive, they will cut you off, and give you the choice of either stopping smoking, or no medicine. They will also make you have a negative test before they will give you your needed meds back! That could be a very painful month, depending on your situation. They do this without warning you at all. They also do this if you tell your dr you smoke. I think they started this in parts of California first. FYI. They actually lie, and say they are following guidelines that say NOT to do this. Pretty fucking bogus. Gotcha secret THC tests to throw people off needed medication, and make themselves look better (“look we’ve cut down our opioid usage!”) at the expense of patients. Some of those patients are probably going to go elsewhere for relief, and end up dead because of fentanyl, or meth, or fentanyl that looks like prescription medication.

Modern tests can discern between CBD and THC, but thanks for the video. Also, be careful about vapes until they figure out what’s causing the lung damage. Allan, self reflection is necessary here, for me too. le berger des photons is correct in that his trust (and it could have been any one of us too) was violated by publishing his email address prematurely before the gauntlet of a bet was thrown down. Aggravation perhaps led you to that? Granted it didn’t expose his true name, but the issue nonetheless remains.
That said, I haven’t seen a true apology to that effect (maybe that’s what he’s waiting for), regardless of his behavior, but I do understand (scratch that, maybe I really don’t) the volume misdirection that floods your inbox on a never ending basis, which could be your hesitation or something. But the Internet is permanent, so we should at least, respect everyone’s privacy here as much as possible. I’m not sure, even if you had 100% certainty, that you should have published it out of spite, or at least not publicly exposed it. I don’t know on this one, just use best judgement maybe.

I am happy to read the obvious introspection of this post. Even with all the controversial (to some) topics that you cover, I have only ever had misgivings with your writing when you call out various people as shills/moles/trolls/ai/disinfo agents/etc., etc. It seems to me that whether someone is or isn’t (insert your own label here) is largely unknowable and oftentimes unimportant to your larger points. And the ensuing shitshow is never pretty and hardly promotes quality dialog or any dialog at all for that matter.
